Frank Shankwitz
Frank Shankwitz is best known as A Founder of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an extraordinary charity that grants the wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. The Foundation is now global and grants a child's wish approx every 28 minutes. He is a US Air Force veteran, was an AZ Highway Patrol Motorcycle Officer, a Homicide Detective, and retired after 42 yrs. He is featured in tv, publications and received awards, like the White House Call To Service Award from George W. Bush, an award from West Point, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, received an Honorary Doctorate Degree, Doctor of Public Service from Ohio State Univ, was identified as one of the 10 Most Amazing Arizonans in the AZ Republic, was noted as a Forbes Top Ten Keynote Speaker, and was presented the Unite4Humanity Celebrity ICON Social Impact Award.
