Christy Rutherford
Christy Rutherford is the President of LIVE-UP Leadership, a leadership development and training company and assists companies with creating cultures of high performance. She’s also a speaker, radio show host and author, publishing five #1 best-selling books on Amazon in eight months.
Christy served over 16 years as an active duty Coast Guard officer and is the 13th African American woman to achieve the rank of O-5 in the Coast Guard’s 225+ year history.
A Harvard Business School Alumna from the Program for Leadership Development, Christy also earned a B.S. in Agricultural Business from South Carolina State University, an M.B.A. from Averett University, a Diploma Sous Chef de Patisserie from Alain and Marie Lenotre Culinary Institute, and a Certification in Executive Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University.
Among her many professional accomplishments, her national recognition includes the Coast Guard Dorothy Stratton Leadership Award.
