Patty Barton Watt
Patty Barton Watt was diagnosed with breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma) in 2012 at age 49 years old. She had endured five surgeries: lumpectomy, mastectomy and three follow-up reconstructive surgeries. Her cancer diagnosis gave her a new perspective on life and mortality as she was faced with a potential expiry date. Patty was determined to not let cancer define her whole existence and lived her life as normal and consistent as she possibly could. She also began to turn her one-day-I-will's into immediate action. As a breast cancer survivor she states cancer didn't define her but changed her for the better.
