Simeon Rice
Simeon Rice is one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the NFL. He was a Super Bowl winner with the 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he's on next year's NFL Hall of Fame ballot. Prior to the NFL, he had a prolific career at the University of Illinois, resulting in him being drafted in the 1st round (3rd overall pick) by the Arizona Cardinals in the 1996 NFL Draft. He started his career with a bang by registering 12.5 sacks, and winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award - and he was just getting started!
All he did after that was tally 122 career sacks, good for 19th in NFL history, to go along with 3 Pro Bowl and 4 All-Pro selections. At the time of his retirement, he was 9th all-time in sacks, and he truly ushered in a new era of sack artists, paving the way for players such as Jason Taylor, not only in terms of physical stature, but also in how teams use their pass rushers. Simeon Rice was an absolute game changer, and may very well end up a 2018 NFL HOF'er!
