Marie Manthey, President/Creative Health Care Management
For her entire career, Marie has been motivated by the same burning passion: focus on the nurse-patient relationship and its potential for healing. She founded Creative Health Care Management (CHCM), a full-service consultation company in 1978, one of the first to specialize in strengthening the practice of professional nursing at the bedside in hospitals. The strategies used to empower staff and develop leaders are now being used by her colleagues in a wide variety of health care settings and for all clinicians. This company continues to thrive, growing steadily for 45 years. In retirement, she continues to write and speak nationally and internationally. Marie has also been fundamental in the forming (in 2013) and sustaining of the Nursing Peer Support Network, a unique system developed to support nurses struggling with addictions to alcohol and drugs. These meetings are held in many locations across Minnesota.
