COL. Bob Norton (US Army Ret.)
Bob Norton is a Vietnam veteran and retired Army colonel. He is the Senior Advisor to Veterans Education Success, a non-profit that helps student veterans who have been defrauded while using their Post-911 GI Bill benefits. Veterans Education Success also works to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the new GI Bill and expand protections for student veterans.
Bob served 20 years in the Military Officers Association of America government relations department. In that role, he specialized in veterans benefits and health care, and National Guard and Reserve benefits. Bob spent many years advocating for a bigger, better GI Bill for our nation's veterans. He advised his former Pentagon boss, former Virginia Senator Jim Webb to fine-tune Webb’s historic legislation, the Post-911 GI Bill, which became law in 2008. Now called the “Forever GI Bill,” today’s GI Bill is the most generous education package for our nations’ veterans since the original World War II GI Bill.
