Marilyn Jackson
Hello, my name is Marilyn Jackson and I am Owen County Indiana’s Tourism Director.
I have held this position since November of 2011. I am a retired business owner of a title insurance
agency. I worked in the title business for 38 years during my career I was President of the Indiana Land
Title Association. Upon selling my company I found that I missed working with people, so I returned to
the work force at the McCormick’s Creek State Park. I spent a season working in the beautiful Canyon
Inn and then 4 years in the State Park Office. When position of Tourism Director became available and I
embarked on what I affectionately refer to as “my fun job”.
I have lived in Owen County along with my husband, Donald, for the past 41 years. We raised our
daughter, Jennifer, here and she is now a nurse and decided to make Owen County her home also.
I find that this job of promoting “Sweet Owen” is very rewarding and one I enjoy every day.
