Greg Litster
Greg is the President and Founder, SAFEChecks, a California based firm. As a Senior VP at Imperial Bank in the 1990s, he helped create and develop SAFEChecks with the assistance of the very capable Frank Abagnale (the former master forger made famous in Steven Spielberg's movie, Catch Me If You Can). In December 1996 Elaine & Greg founded a copy that eventually became SAFEChecks. In January 1997 the original company founded in Dec ’96 by Elaine and Greg acquired the SAFEChecks operation from Imperial Bank, prior to Imperial Bank being acquired by Comerica Bank. Since acquiring SAFEChecks, the firm has expanded its customer base beyond California into almost every state (excluding Hawaii) in this great nation.
Greg frequently lectures on payment fraud (check fraud, ACH fraud), cyber crime and embezzlement, and has served as an expert witness on several fraud-related cases.
