Gierad Laput
Gierad is a Ph.D. student at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction.
His research explores the intersection of interactive systems, sensing, and machine learning. Gierad’s research has received multiple best paper awards at premiere venues in Human-Computer Interaction, including a Fast Company Innovation by Design Award in 2017. He has served on the program committees for ACM CHI and ACM UIST as an Associate Chair.
He has received fellowships from Google, Qualcomm, Adobe, Yahoo and Disney Research. Gierad is a co-founder of Zensors.
