Amy Rogers, Ph.D
Amy Rogers is an experienced conservation scientist and practitioner focused on innovating long-term, interdisciplinary solutions to complex environmental challenges. With over twenty years of experience in the rainforests of Latin America, her work is grounded in a deep firsthand understanding of both ecology and deforestation dynamics—from drivers to impacts. Academically trained in the applications of ecological research as a template for effective management strategies, she has focused for the last decade on developing "triple bottom line" solutions to deforestation that integrate the science, socioeconomics, policy, finance, and human-centered design required to achieve lasting conservation gains. Dr. Rogers is a dual citizen of Ecuador and the US, fluent in English and Spanish, and with a working knowledge of Portuguese and Indonesian. She has lived almost exclusively in developing tropical countries since 1996.
