Matthew McKinney
Matthew McKinney is a member of BrownWinick and co-chairs the firm’s nationally-recognized Government Relations group. In addition to a robust and award-winning government relations practice, Matt is active in the firm’s litigation and data security groups. Matt works with and consults on election matters and campaigns and presents to broad audiences throughout the State of Iowa on data security and privacy matters.
Matt graduated from the University of Iowa in 2004, receiving his B.A. in Political Science and the University of Iowa Business School’s Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Matt received his J.D., cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law, while also earning certificates of concentration in litigation, and criminal law and procedure.
Matt is a graduate of the WDM Leadership Academy, the GDMP Leadership Institute, and Leadership Iowa, recognized by the DM Business Record’s “Forty Under 40” and by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Government Relations.
