Mason Summit
Mason Summit is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer born & raised in Santa Monica, California. Influenced by artists spanning a multitude of styles and decades, Summit is comfortable in nearly any musical genre, from folk and jazz to power pop and psychedelic rock. This eclecticism is reflected in his four self-produced albums, Absentee (2012), Loud Music & Soft Drinks (2014), Gunpowder Tracks (2016), and this year’s Summer Cold. His solo acoustic performances, as well as more recent outings with backing group The Jars, at LA’s renowned venues (The Satellite, House of Blues, The Mint, Room 5, Genghis Cohen, Silverlake Lounge) have earned Summit a loyal following in the area. Recently, Summit has turned his attention to production, working and on tracks by Irene Greene and Jensen McRae.
