Bill Spannhake PhD
Prior to joining Global Life Technologies Corp./Nozin in July of 2017, Dr. Spannhake served as Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health since 1982. After earning his PhD in Physiology at the University of Maryland, he joined the faculty at the Tulane Medical School Department of Pharmacology developing a research program in cardiopulmonary and respiratory pharmacology. He then joined colleagues at Johns Hopkins Public Health to pursue research interests in the pathophysiology of the airway epithelium. He has authored over 100 scientific articles and chapters. His present interests focus on the role of the microbiome of the anterior nares in nosocomial and community infection risk and the application of novel interventions through which reduction of this risk can be achieved. Dr. Spannhake retains his affiliation with Johns Hopkins Public Health as Professor Emeritus.
