Eric Dresselhuys
Eric Dresselhuys is President of Smart Energy Water and has spent the last 20 years working on digitization and massive shifts happening in the energy and water industries. In 1997, Eric helped to found his first company working on creating the technologies that would precipitate the transformation of the industry, then in 2002 founded Silver Spring Networks, which revolutionized the digital transformation of the utility industry, creating massive IoT networking infrastructures years before the term IoT hit the mainstream. Following the successful initial public offering and subsequent sale of Silver Spring Networks, Eric has shifted to the consumer side of this transformation, joining Smart Energy Water, the global digital engagement platform targeting the empowerment of 7 billion + people to become active participants and prosumers in addressing some of the most critical issues facing mankind.
