Stacen Keating, PhD, RN
Dr. Keating, on the Nurses International Advisory Council, leads in conceptualizing the open education resource initiative at NI. She is a Clinical Ass. Professor at New York University's Rory Meyers College of Nursing, working in undergraduate education. She teaches a public health nursing course & an adult & elder prog. She is an instructor in high fidelity simulation. She received her BSN from Columbia U. in New York City, her MSN from Northeastern University, Boston & her PhD & Post-Doctoral work at U of Pennsylvania. At Penn, she led transitional care models & needs of older adults. Her current work involves building global nursing education equity through involvement with Nurses International, a 501c3 start-up organization, developing open access curricula for multiple levels of nursing education. Nurses are the largest network of health care providers. Dr. Keating has focused on improving health globally by developing resources & materials to achieve nursing education equity.
