TSgt Michelle Guerrero, USAF
USAF Enlisted Recruiter Michelle Guerrero joined the Air Force when she was just 18 years old and has been in the Air Force 15 years. Her first career field was Security Forces. She became a recruiter two years ago.
A single mother of two, she initially joined the military right out of high school because she had a lot of goals she wanted to achieve but needed a way to get started. Not coming from a wealthy family, joining the Air Force was an excellent way to help her achieve her goals on her own and at the same time serve her country.
Sgt. Guerrero is grateful for everything the Air Force has enabled her to accomplish, but she’s most thankful for the medical benefits that allowed her daughter (born with a heart condition) to have corrective heart surgery for free.
Sgt. Guerrero is thankful that she was selected to become a Recruiter because every day she’s part of the process that gives people opportunities to change their lives and start a career that makes a difference.
