Dr. Westley Johnson
Dr. Wesley Scott Johnson has enjoyed a long and successful career in public education spanning almost twenty-one years in North Carolina. Presently, he serves as superintendent of Clinton City Schools, a system comprised of approximately 3000 students and five schools. Prior to his appointment as Superintendent, Dr. Johnson was a member of Sampson County Schools for twenty years, where he held various positions, including: coach, teacher, athletic director, assistant principal, principal, Director of Technology and Accountability, and Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services. In 2013, Dr. Johnson was named Sampson County Principal of the Year, Southeast Region Principal of the Year, and was one of eight finalist for North Carolina Principal of the Year. He is married to Kimberly Love Johnson, a 2nd grade teacher, and they have three daughters, Evyn (12), Emery (10) and Ensley (5).
