Kristal Suggs
Kristal Suggs She was born and raised in Kinston, NC, and is the proud mother of two wonderful children, Kiana, a Junior at Kinston High School, and Christopher, a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a Kinston High School graduate in the class of 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Psychology from North Carolina Wesleyan College. She led a career as an educator at Kinston Charter Academy and in the public school systems of Lenoir and Greene Counties. She has recently come out of the classroom to devote more of her time to serving and advocating for our city’s young people through the Kinston Teens organization and other community initiatives. Most recently, she’s the newest elected member of the City Council here in the city of Kinston, NC. ?
