Susan Maboe Johnston, RN BSN CIC - is the Director of Infection Prevention and Control at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, a Life Bridge Health Facility. She specializes in clinical practice program development, creating customized programs to support regulatory requirements and best practices for the prevention of Healthcare-associated infections.With more than 33 years of clinical experience spanning from Med-Surg to Critical-Care nursing, she possesses knowledge that communicates to bedside nursing. Using this knowledge, she develops strategies to address the barriers of effective implementation for infection control practices and standards. Susan recently served as President of the Baltimore Chapter of APIC and holds a Certification in Infection Control. She has completed the Beacon Institute programs both Basic and Advanced, “Skills for Infection Preventionists in Non-Acute Care Settings”.
