Sheila Hemphill
Sheila Rice Hemphill is the CEO and co-founder of Texas Right to Know, an organization focused on protection of health care practitioner and patient rights. A 1984 graduate of Angelo State University with a degree in computer science, Sheila has devoted the succeeding years to providing better access to cutting edge health care solutions for the people of Texas. An involved and passionate community activist, Sheila was the driving force behind enactment of Texas’ first city ordinance which rolled back mandatory Smart Meter residential installation. In the process, she played a key role in bringing this issue national attention. At present, she is deeply involved in efforts at the Texas legislature to uncover and correct administrative abuses of practitioners and patients by the Texas medical and nursing boards.
