Omar Khawaja
Omar is currently the CISO at Highmark Health, an integrated healthcare delivery and financing system, employing more than 35k people and serving 50 million Americans. Omar has spent 15+ years delivering, developing, and managing security solutions for startups, service providers, consulting firms, and enterprises. Omar was been recognized as the CISO of the year in 2017 and FAIR Business Innovator in 2018. He is a member of the CISO Workgroup of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, and he is Advisor to two Cyber Security startups, as well as an Adjunct Faculty Member for the Chief Information Security Officer Program at Carnegie Mellon University. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Omar also holds his CISSP and CCSK certifications.
