To me, watching the NDP destroy every trace of the Alberta Advantage has been akin to an attack on the province I love and the prospects of prosperity for future generations. The undermining of our entrepreneurial spirit, attacks on competitiveness, job-killing labour and employment legislation, investment-repelling fiscal policies, and irresponsible debt. Did I mention crushing, inter-generational wealth transferring debt? And the burden on families and community and faith-based organizations of an “all economic pain, no environmental gain” carbon tax. And yes, I believe we can have economic prosperity while continuing to be world-leaders in environmental stewardship. Not only am I running to build a prosperous and generous society, but I am also running to say no to political opportunists. Together, we can renew the Alberta Advantage and ensure we live in a province that rewards hope and hard-work with limitless potential and prosperity within a healthy and compassionate society.
