Doris Kieser
Doris Kieser is Associate Professor of Theology and Ethics at St. Joseph’s College, the Catholic College at the University of Alberta. She has been teaching ethics and theology for more than 20 years in the areas of sexuality, women’s spirituality, bioethics, the body and theology, and, death, dying, and suffering. She is also Associate Adjunct Professor at the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre at the University of Alberta. Doris is a psychological counsellor with a small practice at Insight Psychological Inc., in Edmonton, working extensively with adolescent girls, women, men, and couples. Doris’s work reflects a particular commitment to social justice and the wellbeing of females. Her book Catholic Sexual Theology and Adolescent Girls: Embodied Flourishing (Wilfrid Laurier University Press, 2015) is an interdisciplinary exploration of adolescent female sexuality in light of the Catholic theological tradition.
