Dr. Michael S. Figgers
Dr. Michael Figgers was born in Quincy, FL and is the second oldest of 10 children. Dr. Figgers earned his Bachelor’s degree in music from Florida A&M University. He also earned a Master's & Doctorate degree in Music Education from Florida State University. Michael served as a music educator & taught on the elementary, middle and high school levels in the public schools of FL. He is presently the Director of Music & Ministries at Nations Ford Community Church in Charlotte, NC and a Professor of Music Education at UNC Charlotte. Driven by his passion to help men become better fathers, husbands, sons, & men, Dr. Figgers is a certified Life Coach for Men and author of Healing The Hearts of Broken Men. He is currently completing his new book, “Tips To Be A Better Man”. He serves as guest speaker, clinician, panelist and consultant for events that pertains to men. He lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Dr. Vanessa C Figgers. They have four sons, Michael II, Jonathan, Donovan and Julian.
