Stephanie Jackson
Stephanie Lee Jackson is the founder of Practical Sanctuary, sensory interior design, in Philadelphia, specializing in design for highly sensitive people, including the neurodiverse. After getting a BA in Plan II/Studio Art the University of Texas and a BFA in Painting at San Francisco Art Inst., Stephanie spent a couple of decades making art while supporting herself as a massage therapist. She lived as an expat painter in Guanajuato, Mexico for 3 years, co-founded Three Muses Artspace in San Fran, founded Healing Arts in Brooklyn and Practical Bodywork in PA; blogged at Pretty Lady and The Brooklyn Days. Practical Sanctuary evolved when her fine art and healing practices converged. Bodywork clients hired her for mural and interior design work in their homes and businesses, and she discovered that she had a gift for creating healing spaces. As a highly sensitive person, she understands the importance of buildings which restore the spirit, rather than creating functional overwhelm.
