Barbara Natterson Horowitz

Barbara Natterson-Horowitz, MD, is a visiting professor in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. A professor of medicine in the UCLA Division of Cardiology, she is president of the International Society for Evolution, Medicine, and Public Health. Together with Kathryn Bowers, she is the author of their previous book, Zoobiquity, a New York Times Bestseller, Discover magazine’s Best Book Times bestseller of 2012, and a finalist for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)/Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellent in Science Books award.
