John Nyemchek
John and Cathi Nyemchek began dancing at the age of 4. John studied Tap, Jazz, Acting, and Ballroom. He and his wife were Junior American Style Ballroom Dance Champions, United States Amateur Champions and United States Professional 10 Dance Champions. They were chosen to represent the U.S. at World Amateur Championships and were part of a formation team sent to Poland as ambassadors. As Professional Champions, they represented the U.S. in countries around the world. They were also one of the founding teams of the American Ballroom Theatre. John and his wife now own Nyemchek's Dance Studio in Pearl River, NY where their students range from very young children to adults in their advancing years. They’re both registered world class adjudicators with the National Dance Council of America, International DanceSport Federation, and the World Dance and DanceSport Council. John is also a certified Wheel Chair Dancing Instructor and the “Dance Director” for Roll Call Wheelchair Dance.
