Dan Layne
Dan Lane is certified as a Balance and Mobility Specialist through California State University, Fullerton. He holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Southern California with graduate study in Health Sciences, a Master Trainer certification for “Matter of Balance,” a fall prevention program sponsored by the National Institute on Aging. Dan is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer with sub-specialties in balance training, rehabilitative exercise, training for older adults (50+), and group training. He's also been certified by the CA Board of Registered Nurses as a Gerontologist. Dan has practiced karate and tai chi chuan for over fifty years. He holds a teaching certificate in Tai Chi Chuan and is an eighth degree black belt in Kyokushinkai karate. "Martial arts practice informs Balance and Mobility at many different levels". Tai Chi combined with Balance and Mobility training are powerful therapeutic allies.
