Michael Paramo
Michael Paramo is a Xicanx artist and researcher born and raised on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Tongva, Acjachemen, and Payómkawichum peoples, otherwise known as Orange County, California. They received their M.A. at California State University, Fullerton and are currently a PhD student at the University of British Columbia, located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam people. They have led workshops on asexuality and aromanticism at Princeton University and University of California, Davis and have presented their research on asexual history at the National Women's Studies Association conference. They created The Asexual journal in October 2016 and have been its lead editor and social media manager ever since.
