Matt Backert
Coach Backert is currently the Head Baseball Coach at CCBC Dundalk. He has also spent many years coaching at the High School level. In addition, he's been coaching high school and club level teams for over a decade. Prior to coaching he was a two sport athlete at Neumann University in PA, where he played both soccer and baseball, earning conference honors in both sports. Coach Backert spent almost a decade overseeing the youth baseball operations for Ripken Baseball where he was responsible for creating and implementing many of Cal and Bill Ripken's instructional programs. He credits much of his coaching philosophies and techniques to the Ripken Brothers, who mentored him for during his time overseeing their youth baseball operations.
