Allison Hancock
Allison is a 19 year breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed at age 40 and was living in Connecticut at the time.Though she felt she had a great support system, the one thing that was missing was being able to talk with other women who had navigated the cancer journey. When she moved to Oregon in 2012 she was so excited to have found Breast Friends and hear about the amazing support that they were giving women who had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Allison began her career with Breast Friends in 2012, first as a volunteer, and now as the executive director. She counts it a privilege and honor in carrying out the legacy that has been built. She has been married for 28 years to Mark and they have two boys Josh and Jeremy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, walking on the beach, cooking, photography and anything dealing with self improvement.
