Philip O. Anderson
Philip O. Anderson, PharmD, FASHP, FCSHP, is Health Sciences Clinical Professor of Pharmacy at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). He has chaired the Drug Information course since its inception, and he is a member of the Admissions Committee and the Comprehensive Examination Committee as well as the UCSD Medical Center Department of Pharmacy Pharmacy Research Council. Dr. Anderson was the founding Director of the Drug Information Service at UCSD Medical Center Department of Pharmacy. His research interests involve the use of medications in nursing mothers. Dr. Anderson is the author of the National Library of Medicine’s LactMed database which provides information on the use of medications in nursing mothers. He is also a charter member of the Editorial Board and Pharmacology Editor for Breastfeeding Medicine where he publishes a monthly column on medication use during breastfeeding.
