Dr. Christy Ciesla, PT, DPT, PRPC

Dr. Christy Ciesla, PT, DPT, PRPC developed and coordinates a pelvic rehabilitation program in Providence, RI. Ciesla graduated from Syracuse University in 1999 and later received her doctorate from Utica College. Dr. Ciesla is certified in prenatal/postpartum exercise and is a board-certified pelvic rehabilitation practitioner. She works with patients of all genders who experience bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction. Ciesla is a clinical instructor and mentors clinicians and medical students interested in her area of expertise. As adjunct faculty at the University of Rhode Island, she lectures to providers about pelvic rehabilitation and has also co-authored a continuing education course for transgender health, both before and after gender affirming surgeries. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Pelvic Pain Society, and has served as both chair and vice chair of the RI Pelvic Rehabilitation Physical Therapy Special Interest Group.
