Kauser Ahmed
Kauser Ahmed PhD is a clinical psychologist and the Darcie Denkert Notkin Director of Psychosocial Oncology Care at the Simms/Mann-UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology. She has over 17 years of experience in the oversight of clinical care of patients and families touched by cancer and in directing the Center’s multidisciplinary psycho-oncology training program. Dr. Ahmed has played a critical role in establishing the interdepartmental psychosocial assessment and treatment protocols for many of the oncology clinics at UCLA and has created award winning interdepartmental programs to meet the needs of pre-surgical patients, young adult survivors, and children of parents with cancers. In 2019, she was named the Inaugural UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine “Cultural North Star Award” recipient for her leadership in fostering a culture of kindness, making a difference and doing the right thing in the UCLA Health Care System.
