Joyce Durham
With her unique background as both an RN & registered architect, Joyce Durham focuses on the integration of efficient operations into facility planning. She has over 25 years of consulting experience in healthcare planning, facility master planning, detailed functional and space programming, and operations. Recently, she focused on developing healthcare facilities in emerging economies throughout the world including Vietnam, Myanmar, China, Nigeria, Ethiopia and the UAE. Currently, she serves as Director of Strategic Facilities Planning at NewYork-Presbyterian, a ten-hospital system in New York City which includes the academic hospitals of Cornell and Columbia University. To Joyce, a successful project challenges the status quo, integrates innovative operational concepts to streamline patient care, and maximizes the use of space.
