Richard Flyer, M.S. is founder of the 10 year old Connecting the Good Worldwide. A unique kind of universal values-based “organization” ---it creates needed infrastructure without creating a separate, self-interested group. The network was the catalyst for the formation of a local food system network; a buy local movement; a neighborhood sustainability effort; and linking organizations concerned about the environment, arts and culture, spirituality, and that take care of those on the “margins.” It starts with expanding consciousness and then “wires” the separate parts of a local community into a productive, creative, and joyous whole with great heart and love. He has 10 years of non-profit management experience. Working with Dr. Ariyaratne of the internationally renowned Sarvodaya movement from Sri Lanka, he is building a global network of towns that replicate the Connecting the Good model. www.connectingthegood.com
