Brigitte Jia
Brigitte Jia is a second-year undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University, majoring in neuroscience on the pre-medical track. Under the guidance of Dr. Sheila Collins at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she is investigating the interaction between the mTORC1 complex and the protein kinase-activated pathway mediated by cardiac natriuretic peptide-binding and cyclic GMP in skeletal muscle. Brigitte is also interested in the link between the rate of nonshivering thermogenesis and circadian rhythms of the peripheral adipose tissue clock system. She continues to learn more about science and medicine as she pursues her Bachelor's degree!
