Marlyn Tillman

Marlyn Tillman is co-founder and executive director of the Gwinnett Parent Coalition to Dismantle the School-to-Prison Pipeline (Gwinnett SToPP). The mission of Gwinnett SToPP is to build and strengthen relationships within the community in two constructive ways – parent/community advocacy training and policy-change facilitation. At Gwinnett SToPP, Marlyn leads a parent-driven, community-centered partnership approach to dismantling the school to prison pipeline in Gwinnett County. As a former information technology analyst and public education advocate, Marlyn also provides expertise on data research, information technology and organization management. She currently serves as the Federal Strategies Co-Chair for the national Dignity in Schools Campaign (DSC); serves on the Education Civil Rights Alliance steering committee; and serves on the Gwinnett County Public Schools GEMS Committee, which reviews the curriculum.
