Philip Hopkins founded The Film Detective (TFD) in 2014, channeling his life-long passion for film collecting into a leading purveyor of classic film restoration and distribution of broadcast-quality, digitally remastered programming. TFD’s ever-growing, extensive library includes 3,000+ hours of classic feature films, as well as hundreds of hours of classic tv from the 1950s and ‘60s Our archive includes classic westerns, horror, mystery, family, martial arts, film noir, religious programming, cult classics, silents, classic cartoons, shorts, documentaries, foreign imports and many rarely and seldom seen lost classics—all remastered for today’s new platforms, professionally transferred from original film elements and available in ProRes, with many in HD, and featuring original artwork, trailers and more. TFD distributes its library on DVD and Blu-ray and through leading broadcast and streaming platforms such as Turner Classic Movies, NBC, EPIX, Pluto TV, Amazon, MeTV, PBS and more.
