Jim Ritz
Jim Ritz is the Chief of Police of the Willow Springs, IL Police Department. He began his law enforcement career in 1985 and progressed through the ranks and positions of Patrol, Criminal Investigation’s, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Lieutenant, Division Commander Criminal Investigations, and then onto the position of Chief of Police. Jim is currently a member on the Executive Board of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, with U. S. Department of Justice secret security clearance. He's served as the Director of a Major Crimes Task Force. He has a Master’s Degree in Criminal Social Justice, and a Master of Science degree in Public Service Management. Jim is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy for Law Enforcement Executive Development program in Quantico, VA. He's a Professor in Criminal Justice and a Trainer in Crisis Communications and Critical Incident Management. Jim has received a Congressional Record Life-Saving Award and numerous other commendations.
