Sgt. Dan Rose

Sgt. Dan Rose

During his ten years serving as a member of the Army Reserves, Sgt. Dan Rose was injured by an improvised explosive device in 2011 while in Afghanistan. Though the blast left him paralyzed from the chest down, Rose was able to gain access to an advanced medical technology known as an exoskeleton, which can help paralyzed individuals walk again. Through rehabilitation with the exoskeleton, Rose was able to regain the ability to stand on his own two feet and walk on his own. Since then, he has continued to enjoy an active lifestyle, which includes downhill skiing, wheelchair racing, sled hockey, wheelchair football and basketball, hand cycling, mountain biking and riding a longboard skateboard from his chair.
