Dr. Dawn Maddock-Pea
Dr. Dawn Maddock-Pea is in her second year as the principal of Desert View High School, a large urban high school that enrolls over 80 percent of its students in a free and reduced lunch program. Dawn brings a wealth of experience to her school having served as a building administrator for 8 years and having worked at central office for 3 years as the director for secondary curriculum and instruction. These experiences uniquely qualify her as an agent for school reform. In her central office roll, Dawn was a primary contributor for Project Graduation, a district initiative which targets freshman to ensure their academic progress to sophomore standing while maintaining a careful monitoring system to ensure that each senior makes it to graduation.
