Ash Gorman
Ash Gorman is a quasi-native of Lynchburg, VA. While he was born in Charlotte, NC and spent the first twelve years of his life there, his formative years were in Lynchburg, which he calls “home”. Ash and his wife, Jackie moved back to Lynchburg from Charleston, SC seventeen years ago. He took a position with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Virginia upon moving back home. After working in many different capacities for the organization, he assumed the leadership role roughly thirteen years ago. Ash loves the work of Big Brothers Big Sisters and cites its mission as the reason he’s stayed at the organization for so long. Before his time with BBBS, he worked as a Recreation Therapist at an alternative school in Charleston, SC as well as teaching independent living skills to at-risk teens and young adults for the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. Ash graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science degree.
