Lara Johnston is emerging as one of pop music’s most dynamic voices. Her rich, unique vocal tone and engaging stage presence have afforded her the opportunity to perform around the world, both as a solo act, and as a backing vocalist for iconic artists. Forever fascinated by music history, and completely enthralled by the pure emotional impact of music itself, Lara counts Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Carole King, and the Beatles among her many influences. Her voice is a product of years spent singing along with, and carefully studying, her favorite singers…ultimately seeking the bliss of simply getting lost in the music. This year, Lara released a trio of singles that reflected her love for the vibrant, larger-than-life eccentricity of pop music. She is currently working on new songs that she hopes will be ready to share in the near future.
