Dr. Marilyn K. Thomas
Dr. Thomas’ formal education began at Texas Woman’s University where she studied Criminal Justice and Psychology. She then obtained a masters degree in Human Resources and Training, a doctoral degree in Family Science and a second Masters in Dispute Resolution. She’s a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Certified School Counselor, Administrator, Family Life Educator, Executive Coach, and Mediator. Marilyn started CREATE, a business focused on counseling resources, education and training for youths and families. Dr. Thomas’ philosophy in life is simple: “Change is Inevitable, Growth is Optional!” She believes that change occurs inevitably and that only two types of people exist: Those who accept change and grow with it, and those who allow change to overthrow them.
