Millie Garcia, MBA
Millie Garcia (formal name is Mirella) is a native El Pasoan. She graduated from University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in 1992 with a degree in Finance and Commercial Banking. She later went on to obtain her MBA from UTEP graduating in 1998. Millie has over 13 years experience in the reverse mortgage industry. Prior to working in the mortgage field, Millie worked for 17 years in the insurance and financial industry. Millie initially became interested in the reverse mortgage product in order to help her parents. She learned about reverse mortgages after her father suffered a debilitating stroke in 2006. After her parents did their loan, Millie became interested in the reverse mortgage field as a career and found it as an opportunity to help other Seniors in similar circumstances. Since then, Millie has worked closely with Seniors and their families, as well as Financial Planners, Realtors, and Attorneys. She is the former President of the El Paso Mortgage Bankers Association. Millie has also served on the Board for the El Paso Estate Planning Council and has been involved with various organizations throughout her career. She is a proud single parent of two young adults, her daughter, Carolina who attends NMSU and her son, Sebastian, who is student at Hanks High School in the special education autism unit.
