Rachel Wachter
Rachel Wachter is a native to the Pacific Northwest and lives in Portland with her husband and 3 children. In 2009 Rachel earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences following a B.S. in Kinesiology from California State University Northridge. She began her physical therapy career in pediatrics and she has extensive training in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), neuroplasticity, biomechanics, gait training, pain neuroscience, myofascial release and women’s health/pelvic floor rehab. In 2017, Rachel embarked on her journey as a John F. Barnes trained Myofascial Release therapist. She approaches her patients with a holistic, whole mind and body approach. Her treatments are unique as they address the whole body and all it’s systems, utilizing long sustained holds into areas that are restricted, or painful using soft tissue mobilizations, mobilizations with movement, and therapeutic activities to help restore the body to a functional state.
