Marie J. Brown is the visionary, author and photographer of The Beauty Within – The Other Side of Trauma, a collection of quotes and personal stories of 31 seniors. Marie’s passion is caring for Seniors, a community often overlooked and forgotten. She captures their beauty in full color and transforms them with make-over images that provide different attitudes as they see themselves in a new reflective mirror. Marie hopes to inspire readers to honor the seniors in their life, with their knowledge, experience, and wisdom. Marie has run the Bakersfield CA Children’s Choir of Africa program, and served as a Social Worker and Sanction Facilitator and evening instructor at University of Phoenix. After she started a hobby of taking pictures of Seniors and listening to their stories. The Mayor of Long Beach, CA displayed Marie’s photos on Grandparents Day in local libraries.
