Patti Occhiuzzo Giggans
Patti Giggans has been the Executive Director of Peace Over Violence since 1985. Giggans has served on many local, state and national advisory committees, on several boards of directors and is the former Chair and current Commissioner of the LA County Sherriff’s Civilian Oversight Commission. She is the founder of Denim Day, has co-created violence prevention curricula, and has co-authored several books including When Dating Becomes Dangerous. Giggans has received The California Peace Prize, Angel of Peace Award, the 2016 Visionary Voice Award, and is a Durfee Foundation Stanton Fellow. https://www.peaceoverviolence.org
