Heidi Williams-Cooper
For over a decade now, Heidi Williams-Cooper has championed the cause of equipping teachers, students and families with the tools to understand and cultivate culturally responsive social-emotional well-being and holistic wellness -- first as a parent advocating on behalf of her own children and then as an educator. As an elementary educator and former assistant principal, Heidi has mentored and coached educators with a holistic lens that understands the importance of truly “seeing” each student -recognizing and cultivating the individual gifts that each of them brings, elevating their voices and preparing them to lead choice-filled lives. She continues to approach her calling as one who recognizes that we are ALL students and we are ALL teachers. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Culture and Community Wellness at the Kindezi Schools, where she supports educators and leaders’ professional development, manages and cultivates partnerships, and prioritizes positive organizational health and wellness. In addition to her work at Kindezi, Heidi also is a social-emotional and educational equity consultant, SEE Learning facilitator, yoga and meditation instructor and the grounding expert for Listening 4 Justice.
